What About Fat? 

Fat will not make you fat! Consuming enough healthy dietary fats is a requirement for optimal hormonal health. We need specific healthy fats to maintain and regulate proper hormone function – they are the foundation of important hormones like estrogen, progesterone, cortisol, and DHEA. Consuming enough healthy fats can prevent cravings and keep us full longer due to hormones like leptin and CKK. Symptoms of dietary fat deficiency includes – low energy, skin issues, constant hunger, loss of menstrual cycle, achy joints, and cognitive issues.  Fat is essential to being healthy, yet it is not emphasized enough.
